Budapest Music Center has a key role in the cultural life of the Hungarian capital since 1996.
The new building celebrated its first anniversary in March 2014.
The 150 years old residential building in Budapest’s 9th disctrict has been transformed into a vibrant cultural center. The old courtyard, retaining its original stone walls, was rebuilt into a concert hall around which the different institutions of BMC are grouped: The Musical Information Centre – Hungary’s largest music library, The Peter Eötvös Institute bearing the name of its founder, a composer, conductor and professor, the Opus jazz club and restaurant, BMC’s offices and recording studios.
Budapest Music Center was designed by the trio of art1st design in Budapest:
