In a residential neighbourhood that is largely made up of public housing, the project is situated in a rich and luxuriant landscaped environment. At a privileged crossroads of the development of the area, it stands out as an exemplary example of urban renewal.
Fragmented, the site consists of three buildings connected by a shared building housing a crèche, designed to connect with the commercial context. Within this context the buildings rise up with a striking visual impact that separates the density of the housing into a subtle, airy composition.
The spaces between the buildings offer spectacular views over the talweg, the continuation of the Chézine Park, soaring over a stunning landscaped view which will be complemented by tall trees and planting that respects the existing species (pines, maples, hornbeams, viburnums, ferns) designed to appear natural and random.
The curved corners of the buildings are designed to harmonise with the external system of circulation: footbridges and balconies that seem to emerge from the treetops, like a childhood memory of treehouses, a dream that has become real.
Also planned is a group of sculptures clad in a material that resembles bark, like a forest: an illusion created with thick stained concrete, sculpted, as if it has been taken over by vegetation.
